OVERHEAD VISION
FOR STEWARDS
LAP1.TECH streams a live, top-down drone video feed straight to race control, so stewards never miss an incident again.

THE PROBLEM
Stewards watch the whole track all the time.
Relying on delayed data logger data or fallible memory.
Disputes over penalties due to limited visibility.
OUR SOLUTION
LAP1.TECH deploys a dedicated overhead drone (or set of drones) that hovers legally within line-of-sight and streams a stabilised, zoomable feed into race control tablets, monitors, or laptops.
Focus is on safety, incident review, and faster stewarding decisions.
HOW IT WORKS
From circuit mapping to instant replay, our four-step process makes drone coverage simple.
Plan the coverage
We map the circuit and define hover points / coverage zones.
Deploy the drones
Lightweight drones configured with return-to-home, geofencing, and pre-set hover positions.
Stream to race control
Live overhead feed streams to a web app in the control room (laptops, ultra-wide monitors, or tablets).
Review incidents instantly
Stewards scrub back through the last few laps, clip incidents, and bookmark them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Quick answers to common questions about drone coverage for motorsport events.
It depends on your location and drone weight. For club packages using sub-250g drones, most jurisdictions require minimal or no licensing. For series packages with heavier equipment, we can provide licensed operators or work with your certified pilots.
Drones cannot safely operate in heavy rain, high winds, or poor visibility. Typically, if it's safe to race, it's safe to fly the drone. Weather conditions are continuously monitored during operation.
Most club circuits can be covered with 1-2 drones focusing on key corners and incident-prone areas. Larger or more complex tracks may benefit from 3-4 drones for complete coverage. We'll assess your specific track layout during the demo.
Yes! All footage is recorded and stored securely. You can review, clip, and export specific incidents for steward decisions, driver appeals, or post-event analysis. Footage retention policies can be customised to your requirements.
